When I was about eleven or twelve years old. After watching a tv programme called 'The Tomorrow People', I tried healing my mother's headache and it worked. This is what I did- I placed my hands on my mum, shut my eyes, and thought of healing energy going to her, and then relaxed, and emptied my thoughts, so I didn't think of anything for a while. Which means I did the same as I do now when with Reiki, the only difference is that I also now connect to Reiki prior to commencing.

What I did then was that I thought about healing my mother, and then thought about nothing- which is akin to Zen meditation. Of course at that age, I had not heard of meditation at all. When my mum said that her headache had gone, I didn't listen properly, she also said, that I could be a healer and I could do that. Why didn't I listen to my mum? If I had took notice of her at that age, I could have been doing healing all this time. Who knows what different course my life would have taken, if I had started using natural healing energy for myself and other people from such a young age and had customers for healing from then on.
